Forté is a professional Atlanta-based quartet performing regularly throughout the Southeast. The band plays a diverse mix of groovy Jazz and hip shaking R&B and believe that every live show is it’s own unique experience. Pianist/ vocalist Carl Testa founded Forté in 2001. He brings a diverse voice that moves seamlessly from Frank Sinatra to rhythm & blues like Bill Withers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Nat King Cole, and Louis Armstrong. He performs regularly in six different European countries and throughput the Caribbean delivering both modern and classic hits with professional flair. As the main composer for Forté he writes across different genres. Carl has recorded with Ryan Waters of Sade and Kamaal Malak of Arrested Development.
Drummer David Snavley has been with Forté since its inception. David is a well known, seasoned, Atlanta based drummer who was the original drummer of Starbuck. David has performed with Randall Bramblett, Yikes, and League of Decency. David is a rock solid drummer that excels at all genres of music and creates unique grooves for Forte originals.
Guitarist/vocalist Lee Griffin has been a full time, professional guitarist and vocalist for over 40 years. He’s toured or performed in concert with Grammy winner Joe Simon, BB King, Ray Charles, Bobby Blue Bland, Little Milton, Tyrone Davis, Denise LaSalle, Latimore, Tyrone Davis, Trisha Yearwood, Waylon Jennings, 3 Dog Night and Iron Butterfly in venues such as Turner Field, The Georgia Dome, Centennial Olympic Park, Marietta Civic Center, the Royal Peacock and the Frederick W. Brown Amphitheatre.
Bassist/Guitarist/Vocalist Randy Chapman started playing guitar at age 9. He also played drums and percussion in school band from 4th grade through high school. After a break from music, Randy then recommitted himself to music and has been playing and recording music around Atlanta ever since.
